How would you feel if you knew you had something to share that could alleviate stress and pain for many, but no one would listen?
Recently I posted a video for the annual Tapping World Summit. This particular conversation with Dr. Christiane Northrup discusses how our culture and the social norms affect our health. It is eye-opening and parallels many of the principles that I espoused in my book. Yet I know this post won’t reach all the people that could use this information. Very few on Facebook will take the time to read the post and even fewer will choose to watch the video.
Tapping or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a tool that can be used to resolve many of the troubling issues that most of us encounter – strained relationships, depression, chronic pain, financial insecurity, poor health, aging, weight gain, etc.
I Tapped to overcome a chronic and dangerous belief about cancer; an anxiety about flying; and excruciating sciatica pain which has not returned. Along the way I’ve also used it for relief of everyday stress, to dissolve anger and quell nerves.
However, the look on the faces of those who have politely indulged me while I excitedly explain the technique and the science behind Tapping tells me the prevailing opinion is “Barbara is a little strange.” I’m just asking that they consider it with an open mind.
I do know what you’re thinking. . . Yes, it looks strange and the whole concept seems a little peculiar. The notion that tapping on various parts of your face and body can change a belief or eradicate a phobia seems irrational! Get out of your head for a moment, and think of the possible benefits!
Am I the only person who has had to face difficult situations in her life? I think not. After all, I’ve heard numerous complaints about money woes, and the endless comparison of medical stats, along with lists of failing body organs. UGH! Dr. Northrup calls these conversations “organ recitals.” Don’t get me wrong, these are good people whom I care about and wish only happiness and good health, but there is no badge of honor for being either poor or sick, and it certainly isn’t a criterion for getting into Heaven! If a present situation is not to your liking, wouldn’t it make sense to change it?
As Albert Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.”
Fear is the only thing standing in your way. Is it a fear of change (even for the better), a fear of taking responsibility for your life or a fear of what others might think? I feared them all.
Unless your life is hunky-dory perfect, why not learn something new and give it a try. It won’t cost you anything and you can learn the basics in a matter of minutes.
Let there be no misunderstanding, I am an affiliate of TheTappingSolution.com who sponsors the summit and if you click on the link and at some point decide to buy something, I will get paid, and yes, they are going to ask you for your email address. However, you don’t have to buy anything to participate in the summit – it is free! I was writing and talking about Tapping long before I was an affiliate and I really don’t care if you decide to buy nothing. What I do care about is that you learn something new, something that could make a huge difference in your life.
